by TrickyScribe

Devotees on Wednesday thronged Mahavir Mandir, Patna, during the culmination of Shobha Yatra processions while chanting ‘Jai Shri Ram’ with ‘Ram Ji Ki Nikli Savari’ playing in the background.
As many as 28 Yatras were taken out from different parts of the Bihar capital. They all assembled at the Dak Bungalow crossing which was festooned to welcome them besides the devotees.
Flower petals were showered on the decorated chariots once they reached the Dak Bungalow crossing. Huge portraits of Lord Rama and Hanuman along with idols of different incarnation of Lord Vishnu were placed around Dak Bungalow roundabout.
The Shobha Yatras then moved towards the famous Mahavir Mandir near Patna Junction. Huge chariots depicting Ramayana gave a spectacular look to the Yatras. Amit Kumar, who was participating in the Yatra from Lodipur Sai Temple, said, “We eagerly wait for this day. It is a part of our culture. Even womenfolk participate in the Yatra in large numbers and no one faces any problem.”
Another attraction on the occasion was the ‘shankhnaad’ by Bipin Mishra, who had come all the way from Madhubani.
Meanwhile Bihar police on Wednesday leaving no stone unturned in its bid to ensure safe processions, deployed four companies of central armed police forces (CAPF) and a large number of Bihar Military Police (BMP) personnel across the state to ensure peaceful Ram Navami.
The CAPF and BMP personnel have been mobilized as over 32,000 home guard jawans were on an indefinite strike since March 15. To ensure peace, the state police headquarters has roped in even those officials and security personnel engaged in desk job.
Talking to mediapersons, Bihar DGP P K Thakur said four companies of CAPF have been deployed in Arwal, Darbhanga, Nalanda and Siwan districts. He said the central government, on request, has also deployed two companies of Sashastra Seema Bal and one company each of Indo Tibetan Border Police and Rapid Action Force.
